I’ve covered stickers & skins a bit in the past, but if you’re not the type to hack apart your laptop there’s still even better ways to get more out of it. There’s a bunch of places on the net that have weird and wonderful accessories and gadgets to help you get more out of your notebook, and then there’s things that will make you look downright stupid. I’ve had a 4gig EEEPC for a while now but I haven’t been arsed modifying it (work + uni = fail). I have got a bunch of links to tutorials and how-to guides for modding them though, hopefully I can get to doing some of these some day. I’d love to add GPS and/or bluetooth to it, or a touch screen. That’d be fantastic. Anyway here’s a list of links which will make any EEE PC owner drool… (more…)

There are only a handful of good manufacturers that offer computers to consumers and of those manufacturers that offer the laptops, there are only so many models that each of them offer. The result is that no one computer is original. In fact, if you sit in a cyber café or something of this sort you can probably look around and see one or two other people who have the same laptop as yours. If you like to stand out from the crowd you may find it a bit disconcerting that your laptop is so ordinary, so why not dress it up?

Laptops are a dime a dozen these days and while they often look very similar when we buy them, we can make modifications that set them apart from all of the rest. Laptop modifications can be very simple and understated to quite loud and hard to miss! If you want to spice up your laptop a bit, you will find that there is no limit to how you can modify and update the appearance of your computer. Why not make your computer and exciting place to be instead of boring and run of the mill? (more…)
