It’s taken a bit of effort but we now have a brand new, much better looking site design. Also, we’ve done away with the comment system in favour of adding…. FORUMS! Now you can discuss your mod ideas with other modders, and as an added bonus to anyone who writes an article for the site you’ll get access to your own ‘published modders only’ forum.
We’re still running the adsense offer (see ‘write for laptopmod’ in the menu up the top) so you can get a bit extra incentive to write something well planned and maybe even finance your next modding project.

I’ve covered stickers & skins a bit in the past, but if you’re not the type to hack apart your laptop there’s still even better ways to get more out of it. There’s a bunch of places on the net that have weird and wonderful accessories and gadgets to help you get more out of your notebook, and then there’s things that will make you look downright stupid. But they’re incredibly useful. But you’ll look stupid. Mostly. (more…)

I’ve had a 4gig EEEPC for a while now but I haven’t been arsed modifying it (work + uni = fail). I have got a bunch of links to tutorials and how-to guides for modding them though, hopefully I can get to doing some of these some day. I’d love to add GPS and/or bluetooth to it, or a touch screen. That’d be fantastic. Anyway here’s a list of links which will make any EEE PC owner drool… (more…)
