Laptops are a dime a dozen these days and while they often look very similar when we buy them, we can make modifications that set them apart from all of the rest. Laptop modifications can be very simple and understated to quite loud and hard to miss! If you want to spice up your laptop a bit, you will find that there is no limit to how you can modify and update the appearance of your computer. Why not make your computer and exciting place to be instead of boring and run of the mill?
Painting
One of the most common and straight forward ways to add a bit of color and personality to your laptop is to paint it. There are many techniques that people use to paint their laptops with some individuals just using a plain color while other people use a more sophisticated look using camouflage and the like. There are many different spray paints and acrylic techniques that can be used to achieve your desired look. Of course, paint the surface of your laptop at your own risk! Stickers are a great way to modify the look and feel of your laptop, this is also a very affordable way to change the look, as well. For instance, you can cover up the Dell logo with a Ferrari or BMW emblem! Why not change it up just a bit without doing any damage to the actual casing? You can get custom made stickers or you can use what is readily available, either way you should choose stickers that are meant to be on plastic or metal surfaces to eliminate peeling or fading with use.

Your actual computer is in a casing that can be switched out if the current casing is damaged or worn but the inner components still work well. Many laptop users have decided to actually modify their laptop case. Many people have modified their laptops so that they look like large books, jewelry boxes, picture frames, and anything else that you can imagine! Wood, plastic, metals and just about any other substance that you can imagine using can be molded and sculpted in a great way to give your computer a unique look.
Gold and Jewels
Why not upgrade your laptop computer with gold and jewels? A couple of wealthy people in the world have actually had their laptops covered in 24 karat gold! These laptops have a very smooth and sleek look that everyone would be jealous of! Top off the gold case with a few well placed diamonds, such as around the logo of your computer! Others still are modifying their laptops by having different designs etched or cut into the steel or plastic casing on their computer and then painted to add depth and character. Dragons, car logos, and favorite characters can all be etched into the cover of the laptop and then painted by someone with airbrushing skills for a very unique and one of a kind look! This type of art work can really transform the surface of a laptop, giving it a whole new look and feel.
Carbon Fiber Wraps
Caron fiber wraps are seen on a lot of different surfaces these days including vehicles. Of course, the newest way to use carbon fiber wraps is on laptops. There truly is no limit to what you can do in the way of laptop modifications.
